With crypto mining in a boom, graphics card manufacturers AMD and NVIDIA sets foot on a new race to provide dedicated mining cards that miners need. Cryptocurrency mining requires a different set of features unlike gaming. In mining, GPUs are given a 100% workload which produces a lot of heat and tests the durability and overall quality of the graphics card. With that being said, both AMD and NVIDIA are said to be preparing new graphics cards for miners.

NVIDIA released the P106-100 6G mining card which is basically the GeForce GTX 1060 6G without the rear display connectors so with less components in the production of the card, it would also cost much cheaper compared to the full version of the GTX 1060. ASUS has already introduces its Mining P106 card and today ZOTAC’s version of the NVIDIA P106-100 6G emerged.



The ZOTAC P106-100 6G appears to be in a small form factor design, much like the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 Mini graphics card. It appears to also sport the same cooling engine and design with the GTX 1060 Mini. Given that the ZOTAC P106-100 6G is a dedicated mining card, there are no video outputs at the rear of the graphics card. The card is estimated to be priced around $250, cheaper than the GeForce GTX 1060 6G graphics card. The card is said to have an Empirical ETH Hashrate of 20 MH/s.
