UL Benchmarks introduces 3DMark Port Royal, the world’s first dedicated real-time Ray Tracing benchmark for gamers. Use the 3DMark Port Royal benchmark to test and compare real-time Ray Tracing capabilities of any graphics card that supports Microsoft DirectX Raytracing. The benchmark also supports multi-GPU systems.
Real-time ray tracing promises to bring new levels of realism to in-game graphics as marketed by NVIDIA during the launch of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 series graphics cards. Since then, the adoption of real-time Ray Tracing in triple-A game titles is growing. With that, UL Benchmarks developed Port Royal for gamers to benchmark ray tracing performance of their graphics cards.
Port Royal uses DirectX Raytracing to enhance reflections, shadows, and other effects that are difficult to achieve with traditional rendering techniques. 3DMark Port Royal is a realistic and practical example of what to expect from upcoming games with ray tracing. 3DMark Port Royal was developed with input from AMD, Intel, NVIDIA, and other leading technology companies. Port Royal benchmark was also developed closely with Microsoft to create a first-class implementation of the DirectX Raytracing API. Port Royal will run on any graphics card with drivers that support DirectX Raytracing.
