Toshiba launches its next generation of 15,000 RPM enterprise-class 2.5-inch hard drives – the AL14SX Series. The Toshiba AL14SX enterprise-performance drives are ideal for mission critical server and storage applications. It features the 2.5-inch form factor and utilizes 12 Gbit/s SAS interface. Compared to its predecessor, the AL13SX Series, it offers 50% more storage increasing capacity of up to 900GB. The AL14SX is Toshiba’s highest performing 15,000 RPM hard drive model.

The Toshiba AL14SX Series is available in 300GB, 600GB and 900GB capacities. Available models are 4K native (4Kn) model and 512 emulation (512e) model that feature Advanced Format Sector Technologies, and 512 native (512n) model optimized for legacy applications and hypervisor environments. The AL14SX hard drive series has a Mean Time to Failure rating of 2,000,000 hours with build endurance for 24/7 operation.
