Thermalright introduces the HR-09 2280 PRO M.2 SSD heatsink standing tall at 74mm in height and a hefty 90 grams – dimensions and size that are way above most aftermarket M.2 SSD heatsinks you can find today. The Thermalright HR-09 2280 PRO has two 6mm heat pipes. It has 33 fins that are 0.4mm thick and with a 1.8mm gap from each other. The HR-09 2280 PRO is perhaps the largest M.2 SSD heatsink to date and will certainly not fit in the PlayStation 5 storage expansion slot or any laptop and mini PC. This heatsink is designed for M.2 SSDs installed on motherboards.

The Thermalright HR-09 2280 PRO supports the M.2 2280 SSD form factor and provides dual-sided coverage with a majority of the cooling on the top side of the SSD. Thermalright has been around for more than a decade and continues to release innovative and one-of-a-kind cooling solutions that no other brand has ventured into. This “extreme” M.2 SSD heatsink could be categorized as one of them. Thermalright did not reveal pricing as of this writing.
