In our annual visit to Taipei for Computex 2017 we met with Tesoro for an overview of their current and upcoming product lines. What was clearly evident from our trip was that Tesoro had recently undergone a rebranding - embracing and dipping into other markets which revolve around the enthusiast and designer. In fact, their very slogan has been adjusted from “Break the Rules” to “Break the Rules. Embrace Innovation”.

GRAM SE SPECTRUM

And so, likewise, the products on display at Computex exuded this ethos – the first being the GRAM SE Spectrum which is based on Tesoro’s Optical Switch design. Stepping beyond the now mainstream mechanical switch, optical switches provide even faster response time. Tesoro aim to offer both blue and red switch options as well as white and black colour variants. Release is timed for the end of July at a cost of $119 USD.

GRAM SPECTRUM WHITE

A white version of the GRAM Spectrum made an appearance and epitomises the approach to which Tesoro has taken with the rebranding – offering clean, minimalist styling which designers gravitate towards. The combination of LED backlighting and white livery looks stunning in pictures and even more exquisite in-person, we really like what Tesoro has done!

UN-NAMED GRAM KEYBOARD

Also featured at their booth was another keyboard which will sit within the GRAM family but which currently has no given name. This solution is designed to be ultra-thin with low-profile mechanical switches. This keyboard will be available in the full array of Cherry MX switch types (Black, brown, blue and red) and will again be offered in black or white with an expected arrival of Q4 2017.
