Synology launches the DiskStation DS1019+ 5-bay desktop NAS and DiskStation DS2419+ 12-bay desktop NAS expanding its NAS portfolio. DiskStation DS1019+ offers excellent performance and scalability making it perfect for small offices and IT enthusiasts. It comes pre-loaded with dual-channel 8GB memory and NVMe SSD cache support for I/O intensive applications and virtualization deployments. The Synology DiskStation DS2419+, on the other hand, targets small- and medium-sized businesses that deal with diverse applications. It is designed to assist growing businesses wherein it can easily fit into an existing office environment.

Synology DiskStation DS1019+

The DiskStation DS1019+'s scale-up design allows a seamless storage expansion with minimal effort, making it an ideal server for file sharing, data backup, and recovery. Its scalable storage supports up to 140TB data storage with one expansion unit. Its dual-channel memory with pre-loaded 8GB (2x4GB) memory provides sufficient performance for intensive applications and virtualizations. It comes with built-in M.2 SSD slots with NVMe SSD cache support. The DiskStation DS1019+ delivers encrypted sequential throughput at over 225 MB/s reading and writing. It also supports dual-channel, real-time 4K video transcoding for seamless ultra HD video streaming and sharing.

Synology DiskStation DS2419+

The DiskStation DS2419+ provides data storage space equivalent for a standard 2U rack server supporting up to 336TB when connected to one DX1215 expansion unit. It features a high-performance 2.1GHz quad-core processor with pre-loaded 4GB DDR4 SO-DIMM, expandable to 32GB, capable of handling various storage tasks. The DiskStation DS2419+ also comes with a PCIe 3.0 slot that supports expansion cards including NICs, M.2 NVMe or SATA solid-state drives using the M2D18 adapter card.
