Synology Announces Worldwide Availability of Synology C2 Backup

Synology C2 Backup was introduced September last year as a cost-effective cloud backup solution for its NAS devices. It was first made available to the European region. Today, Synology announces the general availability of the C2 Backup service to users worldwide. It was initially created to address the increasing demands from the European customers and will now be accessible to all Synology NAS users. With C2 Backup, Synology NAS around the world can retain copies on Synology's Europe-based cloud storage in case of disaster recovery.

The success of the C2 Backup service pushed the release for a global service due to the sustained growth during its six-month period starting its initial launch last September. Subscription retention rate and level of customer satisfaction remained high wherein 96% of the new users continues to subscription after the free trial. With this, Synology aims to share the benefits and improve the experience of all users worldwide.

Synology C2 Backup Plans


Synology C2 Backup offers two plans for users with different requirements:

Plan I:
Fulfils essential backup needs with the following features:
Daily backup with regular retention
Up to 11 backup versions for the past 30 days
Flexible plan selection of 100GB, 300GB, and 1TB storage capacities

Plan II:
Provides users that require advanced data protection with the following features:
Flexible backup schedules
Customizable retention policies
Data deduplication for storage usage optimization
Terabytes of storage capacity
