With all the major game releases occurring in such a compressed time-frame this year it's easy to forget about one of the major seasonal events in the PC gaming calender: the Steam Sales. Now the alleged dates of sales in the lead up to 2018 have been leaked via Reddit, and you'd best start prepping your wallet.
The Reddit post, since deleted but archived and then confirmed independently by Eurogamer, lists three imminent sale periods corresponding to major US holidays. They are:
The Steam Halloween Sale: Thursday 26th October to Wednesday 1st November
The Steam Black Friday* Sale: Wednesday 22nd November to Tuesday 28th
The Steam Winter Sale: Thursday 21st December to Thursday 4th January 2018
*Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in the US

Halloween is likely be a themed rather than general game sale, as tends to be the case at Winter and Summer and Black Friday. This year however the sale items are competing with major franchise release windows for Assassin's Creed, Destiny, Star Wars Battlefront and Wolfenstein to name but four, making them potentially all the more spicy.
