Razer introduces its first gaming laptop to sport its innovative optical switches on the Razer Blade 15 gaming laptop’s keyboard. In 2016, Razer was the first to introduce low-profile mechanical switches to its gaming laptops. Today, Razer continues its leadership in being the first to use new and innovative technologies into its gaming laptop line-up with the super-fast and super-accurate optical switches. The Razer Blade 15 will sport the same low-profile keyboard which is now further enhanced for near-instant actuation, rapid-fire inputs, and satisfying tactile feedback.

Optical Switches: Power of the Speed of Light

The Razer Optical Switches was first used in Razer’s gaming keyboard lineup with the Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition keyboard being the latest addition. The optical switches on the Razer Blade 15 offer greater precision and speed compared to conventional laptop keyboards. It has an actuation point of only 1mm at 55g of actuation force with 50% more travel, allowing players to input more commands in less time. The optical switches come with a satisfying mechanical tactile feedback that most love about mechanical switches. The new keyboard with optical switches offers superior typing experience for gaming, productivity, and casual use. Watch the introduction video about the Razer Optical Switch below.

Built for Gamers

The Razer Blade 15 optical keyboard features N-key Rollover (NKRO) with anti-ghosting, ensuring every keypress is actuated without any delay. The keycap is individually backlit with Razer Chroma RGB lighting with 16.8 million colour options, completing the ‘gaming’ aesthetics of the laptop.

Best-in-Class Hardware

The Razer Blade 15 remains the most awarded laptop in the Razer Blade family as its sleek and compact design paired with best-in-class hardware has proven to be a winning combination. The optical keyboard model features ultra-fast gaming performance packed into a thin design that includes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU, an Intel Core i7-9750H processor, 16GB DDR4 memory, and a 512GB SSD storage.

Pricing and Availability
The new Razer Blade 15 Advanced model with the optical keyboard is now available at Razer.com for $2,649 USD. More models will follow in 2020.
