In Wolfenstein: Youngblood PC gaming will soon return to an alternate Earth nineteen years after the events of Wolfenstein II, and ahead of the game's launch Bethesda have revealed its minimum and recommended specifications for PC. Sadly they don't include very much useful detail, i.e. what these specifications represented in terms of expected framerates at particular quality settings, but will offer a ballpark range prospective players can use to judge whether a component upgrade would be timely.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood incorporates two technologies currently exclusive to NVIDIA's graphics toolkit: Variable Rate Shading and VKRays, the latter of which unlocks real-time ray-tracing within the Vulkan rendering API. These would require NVIDIA 'Turing' hardware at the very least, and likely contribute to the mention of the RTX 2060 within the recommended specs.
GPU aside, requirements are not particularly taxing. Many mid-range systems equipped with some of the most popular hardware from the last 5 years (particularly the GeForce GTX 970 and most Intel/AMD quad-core CPUs) should be more than up to the task. It's also the first Wolfenstein installment to incorporate a major co-op element into its gameplay, so a stable internet connection would be particularly handy in this instance.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood for PC and console platforms will launch on July 26th and is available on Steam priced at £24.99 for the Standard Edition. Pre-order customers can also begin pre-loading on July 23rd and beat the rush.
