NVIDIA GeForce Gets Game Ready For Forza Horizon 4

You may have been one of the lucky few to pick up a GeForce RTX 20-series GPU this past fortnight, or perhaps you're eyeing up a new game to pair with your NVIDIA-powered system. If so, keeping up to date with this week's GeForce Game Ready driver should be top of your priorities.

The NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready 411.70 WHQL driver is the second post-launch update for RTX 20-series GPUs, and also supports NVIDIA's range dating as far back as the Fermi architecture. Don't be surprised if the pace of updates is particularly swift in the next month or so as NVIDIA iron out any teething issues they uncover in Turing. For now however, game optimisations are outwardly the focus. And of course, as a WHQL driver it has also undergone Microsoft's validation process.

This game ready driver brings with it day-1 optimisations for the upcoming Assassins Creed: Odyssey and Forza Horizon 4, as well as Fifa 19. Treat them as pretty much mandatory if you're aiming to play one or all of these titles next week. If you haven't updated to the 410-series, you should also be aware that these drivers also bring new features such as CUDA 10.0, Vulkan 1.1, OpenGL 4.6 and Vulkan HDR for Windows support.

NVIDIA have also addressed three RTX 20-series specific issues fixed with these drivers, and identified another handful that will be on the chopping block for an upcoming release.

Download the new drivers for your GPU and OS at http://www.geforce.com/drivers. Installation packages are avaialble for 64-bit versions of Windows 10, Windows 7 and Linux. 32-bit OS support depreciated with the 396 driver family.
