The most-awaited ‘king’ of mainstream desktop processors, the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X, is now available at partner resellers globally. The AMD Ryzen 9 3950X’s release was already postponed and moved to be launched together with the third-generation Ryzen Threadripper processors today. We have reviewed one of the newly released TRX40 CPUs, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X processor. While Intel also made its Cascade Lake-X offerings available today, all eyes are on the impressive performance of AMD Ryzen 9 3950X mainstream desktop processor over the HEDT offering also released today.

Stock and Availability Concerns
The AMD Ryzen 9 3950X sold like hotcakes and got sold out almost immediately! In the United States, Newegg listed the processor only to get sold out after a few hours. Newegg will likely be restocking the processor as soon as possible but there’s no estimated time of availability as of this writing. In Amazon, the processor is yet to be listed. You can also find the processor for pre-order at B&HIn the United Kingdom, the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X is currently unavailable and on pre-orders at Overclockers UK and Scan Computers. 19 people have already pre-ordered the Ryzen 9 3950X at Scan Computers which will ship out by the 31st of December 2019 according to its product listing page. Overclockers UK will have its stocks available for shipping by January 31, 2020, which is quite a long wait for builders in the United Kingdom.
Thankfully, Novatech UK has incoming stocks for the Ryzen 9 3950X CPU due this December 6, 2019, according to its listing page. Pre-order the Ryzen 9 3950X at Novatech UK here.
In Australia, the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X is available for pre-order at PC Case Gear and in stock at Scorptec Computers, great news for builders in Australia.
Update as of November 27, 2019: The Ryzen 9 3950X has been sold out at Scorptec Computers, new stock is expected to arrive at Scorptec on December 3, 2019.
Sadly, the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X is also out of stock at the AMD store. The same is true for the rest of the retailers across the globe. Even though AMD seems to have generated an impressive demand for the much-awaited Ryzen 9 3950X, would-be users would still need to wait longer to get their hands on the processor.
