The next-generation Project Zero from MSI appears online alongside a specially designed chassis compatible with the motherboard. Coming from Chinese social media channels, the MSI Z790 Project Zero would be one of the very few high-end Intel LGA 1700 motherboards with the “hidden cable management” design. Assumed to support the latest 14th-generation Intel Core processors, the motherboard features an Intel Z790 chipset which appeals to power users and enthusiasts. The leaked MSI Project Zero motherboard last year was seemingly a version of the MEG Z690 Unify which is a prototype. The MSI Z790 Project Zero looks very different from that prototype having less heatsink material upfront.

On the other hand, the MEG MAESTRO PZ chassis is specially designed to support the likes of the MSI Z790 Project Zero motherboard. It features a curved tempered glass side-to-front panel.

MSI Z790 Project Zero Motherboard

The MSI Z790 Project Zero motherboard features DDR5 memory support and 2x 8-pin ATX power connectors suggesting the motherboard is truly designed to support overclocking. The motherboard does have WiFi but not verified if it will be the faster WiFi 7.

MSI MEG MAESTRO PZ

The MEG MAESTRO PZ is a chassis specially designed for the MSI Z790 Project Zero motherboard having unique cable routing holes for the rear connectors of the motherboard. Aside from the luxurious panoramic curved tempered glass side panel, the chassis appears to be using a vertical graphics card orientation out of the box – likely the chassis comes with the necessary PCIe Gen5 riser cable and other accessories to support such graphics card installation.

The front I/O of the MEG MAESTRO PZ chassis is located in the top-middle portion which is rather peculiar but it does come complete with a USB Type-C connector that supports high-speed bandwidth.

The MSI Z790 Project Zero motherboard and MSI MEG MAESTRO PZ chassis are both niche products and are said to be prototypes to be revealed in the upcoming CES 2024 this January.
