Unless you’ve been hiding from the internet for the past few months, both NVIDIA and Intel have released their latest and greatest components for gamers and PC enthusiasts to lust over. MSI have wasted absolutely no time in creating their own masterpiece, using the Intel Core 9th Generation CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs to construct the ultimate small-form-factor gaming rig.
Meet the MSI Trident X, a small gaming machine with a volume of only 10L and of course, RGB lighting. The Trident X can be equipped with an Intel Core i9-9900K and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti, though today we look at a much more affordable model, boasting a 9700K and RTX 2080; not too shabby by any means.
Rounding out the rest of the specification is 32GB of DDR4-2666 memory, a 512GB Samsung NVMe OS drive, 2TBs of Hard Drive, Intel I219v LAN and Wireless AC connectivity. All of which is based on the Intel Z370 platform.
Alongside the blazing fast specification, we get a gorgeous chassis, with metal or tempered glass sides (both included), multi-zone RGB lighting and a whole horde of connectivity.
Whether you plan to use the Trident X for gaming, productivity, content creation or even just browsing the web, we’re sure it’ll handle it, but just quite how well is another question. Read on to find out.
