MSI officially presents a PROJECT ZERO motherboard, the B650M PROJECT ZERO. It has been a year since MSI started developing their version of a “DIY APE” motherboard that feature headers and connectors at the back of the motherboard. The first MSI PROJECT ZERO motherboard that appeared online is an E-ATX motherboard and appears to be a revised version of the MEG Z690 UNIFY motherboard for the 12th generation Intel Core processors. Surprisingly, MSI’s final release is an AMD AM5 motherboard with an AMD B650 chipset.
The MSI B650M PROJECT ZERO is a micro-ATX motherboard. Its front has been aesthetically designed having decked out with heatsink material. It sports a fairly large M.2 Shield Frozr heatsink for the M.2 slots, a large chipset heatsink, and another heatsink beside the DIMM slots which is uncommon for motherboards and appears to be simply an aesthetic piece.
All the connectors and headers are at the back of the motherboard except for the X16 and X4 PCIe slots. The motherboard model may not have "WiFi" on its model name, a seemingly common naming practice that indicates the presence of a Wi-Fi solution, but the MSI B650M PROJECT ZERO motherboard does come with AMD WiFi 6E.

MSI is yet to announce other PROJECT ZERO motherboards for the Intel platform. Hence, it is likely that MSI would release the PROJECT ZERO version of the MEG Z690 UNIFY at a later date but likely sporting a newer chipset. MSI did not reveal pricing as of this writing.
