MSI expands its AM4 Ryzen motherboard lineup with the addition of five new motherboard models. Two of which features the top-tier high-performance AMD X370 chipset and three AMD B350 chipset value models. These are the X370 GAMING PRO CARBON AC, B350 GAMING PRO CARBON, X370 GAMING PLUS, B350 GAMING PLUS and B350 KRAIT GAMING motherboards. All the new models support the high-performance AMD Ryzen series processors down to the yet to be released 7th generation A-Series Athlon processors.
MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON AC
This motherboard is MSI’s new flagship motherboard for the AMD Ryzen platform. It features the MSI Mystic Light Sync RGB lighting customization and it is packed with an Intel WIFI AC/Bluetooth which uses smart MU-MIMO technology for blazing wireless AC speeds of up to 433MB/s that is without any cable limitation. Just like the previous flagship board, this too also offers VR-ready features, Military Class 4 components, Audio Boost 4 with Nahimic 2 and other gaming and performance optimization features.
MSI B350 GAMING PRO CARBON
If you are planning on building an entry-level single-GPU gaming setup and still want similar aesthetics like the flagship X370 GAMING PRO CARBON AC motherboard, the B350 counterpart would be your best bet. This motherboard is the “value” edition of the X370 counterpart and this too offers the MSI Mystic Light Sync RGB lighting customization, M.2 Shield, GAMING LAN and other essential gaming and performance features. If you do plan a multi-GPU setup, the B350 chipset does support AMD CrossFire but not NVIDIA SLI.
MSI X370 and B350 GAMING PLUS
These motherboards adapt the traditional black and red colour theme of the MSI GAMING series motherboards with the addition of the heavy plated heat sinks and PCIe steel armour. The X370 offers multi-GPU support, both SLI and CrossFire, and more power phases for better overclocks than the B350 variant. Hence, both models promises to deliver the next-generation gaming performance. Both models also support the MSI Mystic Light Sync RGB lighting customization.
MSI B350 KRAIT GAMING
This motherboard inherits the black and white colour theme of the KRAIT GAMING series. The B350 KRAIT GAMING motherboard is simply the budget version of the X370 counterpart where there’s very little difference when it comes to aesthetics and physical design. It also features the MSI Mystic Light Sync RGB lighting customization.
