Microsoft unveils its next-generation Surface Laptop 3 at the Microsoft Event today, now available in two sizes the Surface Laptop 3 13.5 powered by the 10th generation Intel Core processors and the Surface Laptop 3 15 powered by AMD Ryzen processors. The new Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 13.5 feature the same slim design but with twice the performance and all-day battery life, it comes in new eye-catching colours including Cobalt and Sandstone. On the other hand, the Surface Laptop 3 15 comes with the industry-leading integrated graphics performance of the new AMD Ryzen Surface Edition processor with Radeon Vega 9 graphics.
AMD and Microsoft present the Surface Laptop 3 15 as one of the fastest laptops you can buy today under the ultrathin 15 laptop class powered by AMD Ryzen processors. It also offers a more comfortable typing experience with a full 1.33mm key travel plus a larger glass trackpad by 20%. The Surface Laptop 3 15 comes with both USB-A and USB-C with Fast Charging, offering up to 80% charge in an hour. It also features improved front-facing cameras, OmniSonic speakers and dual far-field Studio microphones that deliver crystal-clear sound and audio for conference calls, entertainment, gaming, and more.
Microsofts Collaboration with AMD
AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su joins Microsoft Event to present the new Surface Laptop 3 15 thats powered by the latest AMD Ryzen APU. The CEO expressed her excitement with the partnership in her tweet. AMD presented the AMD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 Microsoft Surface Edition processors for the thin and light Surface Laptop 3 15 model. The customized AMD Ryzen Microsoft Surface Edition processors inherit from the graphics core architecture of Xbox One and include one additional compute unit more than any other AMD Ryzen mobile processor for an extra boost of graphics horsepower. The Surface Laptop 3 15 will also be supporting AMDs Radeon FreeSync technology, controlling the laptops high-resolution display.
