Micron today takes away the DDR4 world record crown from G.SKILL, overclocking the new Ballistix Elite 4000 memory to 6024MHz with an AMD X570 setup, a first in DDR4 memory world record achievers this year. The Ballistix Elite 4000 memory was overclocked using liquid nitrogen cooling on a system using the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor and ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VII Impact motherboard. DDR4-6024MHz World Record
Were thrilled to have partnered with Ballistix to achieve this new world record, said Albert Chang, general manager of the motherboard BU for ASUS. Both overclocking teams worked tirelessly to finetune BIOS settings on our newly-released ROG CROSSHAIR VIII IMPACT board to unleash the capabilities of the Micron die. Setting the new world record of 6024MT/s with Ballistix Elite 4000 memory on our new ROG AMD X570 motherboard is a powerful demonstration of the engineering excellence ASUS ROG and Micron bring to the gaming ecosystem.

Second World-Record Breaking Submission
Micron Insight 2019s overclocking event is ongoing as of this writing. The first record mentioned above was submitted by bianbao, an extreme overclocker from Taiwan. His record was broken shortly by OGS, an extreme overclocker from Greece, overclocking the Ballistic Elite 4000 memory at 6036MHz. Update: OGS Breaks Record Again
The DDR4 world record might be broken shortly as the overclocking event continues. There is an unvalidated DDR4-6063MHz record as of this writing. We will update this article once the submission has been validated by HWBOT.
