Logitech to acquire ASTRO Gaming, makers of award-winning console gaming headsets. This acquisition aims to put Logitech in the top spot as the #1 maker of PC gaming gear. With ASTRO gaming, Logitech aims to further expand its leadership in gaming headsets, mice, keyboards, streaming webcams and other gaming gears for both PC and console gaming.
Logitech will acquire ASTRO for $85 million USD and the entire acquisition procedure is expected to be completed by August 2017. The addition of ASTRO’s assets is an investment for Logitech in the adjacent console gaming market and to achieve a stronger long-term growth in Logitech’s gaming business.
