Intel introduces its newest line-up of processors featuring its new naming scheme – the Intel Pentium Silver and Intel Celeron processors. The new Intel Pentium Silver and Intel Celeron processors are based on a new architecture codenamed “Gemini Lake” offering a great balance of performance and connectivity for everyday computing which also comes in with a great value.
Great Value and Performance
Gemini Lake offers great performance for office applications, browsing online, multimedia, photo editing and other basic applications while maintaining good battery life. With the new Intel Pentium Silver, productivity performance is 58% faster compared to a similar 4-year old Intel-based PC. Intel Pentium Silver processors represent the cost-optimized option in the Intel Pentium processor family. Intel Pentium Gold processors – which are already in market based on the Kaby Lake architecture – represent the highest-performing Pentium processors available.
Ultra-Fast Connectivity
Pentium Silver and Intel Celeron processors will feature Intel’s Gigabit Wi-Fi capabilities using the industry standard of 2x2 802.11AC with 160MHz channels. With this, the new Gemini Lake powered devices are capable of ultra-fast networking performance that enables faster content streaming, faster web browsing, and faster downloads. Additionally, Intel Pentium Silver and Intel Celeron-based systems will be able to handle the latest in enhanced media for a great experience streaming content from popular sites like YouTube and Netflix.
