HyperX celebrates a major shipping milestone with over 10 million gaming headsets shipped ever since the first HyperX Cloud gaming headset in 2014. The first HyperX Cloud gaming headset was created in partnership with QPAD. Today, HyperX has now produced 30 headset models and shipping its newest lifestyle headset, the HyperX Cloud MIX Rose Gold Edition. HyperX continues to establish itself as the leading PC and console gaming headset brand, taking the lead in market share for PC compatible headsets according to the latest NPD data. Aside from the 10 million gaming headset milestone, HyperX also celebrates two additional milestones, shipping over 1 million gaming keyboards and over 65 million memory modules.
Gaming Keyboard Milestone
HyperX shipped over 1 million gaming keyboards as of today. HyperX Alloy mechanical gaming keyboards launched with Cherry MX switches, and now HyperX continues to build its gaming keyboard line-up with the release of the HyperX Alloy Origins mechanical gaming keyboard, including proprietary mechanical key switches.
Memory Milestone
HyperX shipped more than 65 million memory modules as of today. HyperX memory products include the FURY and Predator DDR4 branded memory modules which are available in RGB versions with customisable RGB lighting using the NGENUITY software. HyperX memory modules were also used in world record-breaking benchmarks, specifically DDR4 records this year. HyperX memory was overclocked to a record-breaking 5608.8MHz in January 2019. HyperX memory again appears on another DDR4 world record at 5902MHz in August 2019 before G.SKILL broke the record this month at 6016.8MHz. Still, HyperX memory modules continues to be used in extreme overclocking for world record-breaking attempts.
As HyperX expands into the lifestyle market with its newest Cloud MIX Rose Gold Edition headset, it has developed a network of lifestyle brand ambassadors from a variety of backgrounds, including Grammy award winner Post Malone, JuJu Smith-Schuster of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Gordon Hayward of the Boston Celtics, and a range of influencers and streamers. HyperX also recently launched its first apparel collaboration with Champion Athleticwear.
