GIGABYTE RTX 3070 GAMING OC Review

Conclusion

We’ve seen the high and lofty performance from the likes of the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, but what about the RTX 3070? Is it really worth considering?

Well, if you’re a gamer who uses QHD then the RTX 3070 is for you. This GPU tackles 1440p Ultra with ease, often allowing users to enjoy average frame-rates which exceed double figures and into the 100s.

For those of you who prefer a simple design without the flamboyance of RGB lighting then this card is more than likely right up your street. It follows a basic design, with subtle lighting - keeping things nice and simple.

The GAMING OC is a fine example of a graphics card which doesn’t need all the bells and whistles to achieve good results. While the factory overclock may be reasonably tame, the WindForce cooling system keeps temperatures under control and noise levels and by no means disruptive.

Pricing for the GAMING OC will see it stick fairly close to the MSRP at: £529 GBP | $519 USD | $800-1000 AUD. We believe this is decent value for money and the inclusion of a 4-year warranty is really good to see as it puts a level of confidence in the product itself.

If you’re looking for a competent graphics card that tackles 1440p and that doesn’t cost the earth, you should consider the RTX 3070 GAMING OC.
