GIGABYTE first introduced the AORUS RGB AIC NVMe SSD at CES 2019 along with the AORUS RGB M.2 SSD. The AORUS RGB AIC NVMe SSD comes in a single-slot PCI-Express card with RGB lighting on its viewable side powered by GIGABYTE RGB FUSION 2.0. It uses PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface and NVMe 1.3 protocol to deliver speeds of up to 3,480MB/s sequential read and up to 3,080MB/s sequential write. It also features 3D TLC Toshiba BiCS3 flash memory and a high-performance Phison controller. The AORUS RGB AIC NVMe SSD comes with essential features for reliability and security such as support for S.M.A.R.T. Technology and TRIM. For data security, it features AES 256-bit Hardware Encryption Self-Encrypting Drive (SED).
Advanced Thermal Engineering
The AORUS RGB AIC NVMe Solid-State Drive features advanced thermal engineering with its high-density aluminium heatsinks with high-conductivity thermal pads on both sides of the PCB to deliver efficient heat dissipation. The double-sided heat spreaders keep the SSD running cool to avoid performance loss due to throttling.
GIGABYTE RGB FUSION 2.0
The AORUS RGB AIC NVMe SSD is GIGABYTE’s first AIC SSD that can be synchronized perfectly with the motherboard and other GIGABYTE RGB FUSION 2.0-enabled components without the need of a cable connector. The AORUS Light Diffuser on the SSD supports six lighting modes via the GIGABYTE RGB FUSION 2.0 software which are the pulse, static, flash, double flash, and colour style.
SSD Tool Box
The AORUS RGB AIC NVMe SSD comes with a newly updated SSD Tool Box application that offers real-time monitoring such as status, SSD health information, firmware version, and temperature. It also comes with essential features including Drive Optimization and Secure Erase.
The AORUS RGB AIC NVMe SSD is available in 512GB and 1TB capacities, covered with a 5-year warranty. GIGABYTE did not reveal information on pricing and availability as of this writing. Learn more on the product links below:
