GIGABYTE expands its storage line-up with the new AORUS RGB NVMe PCIe Series solid-state drives available in M.2 and add-in-card (AIC) form factors with RGB lighting. The new AORUS RGB SSDs are all NVMe-based PCIe Gen3 x4. It sports RGB lighting with support for full lighting synchronization with motherboards and supports the GIGABYTE RGB FUSION 2.0. GIGABYTE will initially release a 256GB and 512GB capacity model for the M.2 form factor offering speeds of up to 3480MB/s sequential read and up to 2000MB/s sequential write. GIGABYTE will also release two capacities for the AORUS RGB AIC SSD model, 512GB and 1TB, offering speeds of up to 3480MB/s sequential read and up to 3080MB/s sequential write.
AORUS RGB M.2 SSD
The AORUS RGB M.2 SSDs comes with an anodized aluminium heatsinks for excellent heat dissipation. The brushed aluminium finish offers an elegant look with the AORUS Falcon logo with digital LED lighting that will help it complement any AORUS motherboard. The AORUS RGB M.2 SSDs support the GIGABYTE RGB FUSION 2.0 for perfect lighting synchronization with AORUS motherboards. It supports five lighting effects including flash, static, double flash, and colour style.
AORUS RGB AIC SSD
The AORUS RGB AIC SSDs are offered in larger capacities with superior performance. It features a 0.5cm thick dark grey aluminium matte heatsink along with a crosscut heatsink for increased heat dissipation area with a thick LAIRD thermal pad. The AORUS RGB AIC SSD features a fine-sandblasted heatsink with multi-step anodization to create a premium finish. Added lines are created using laser engraving for a stylish, clean-cut look. The AORUS falcon logo sports a metallic silver mirror finish. AORUS RGB AIC SSDs features a front-side RGB lighting and supports the GIGABYTE RGB FUSION 2.0 software.
The GIGABYTE AORUS RGB SSD Series is currently presented at CES 2019, to be launched in the market shortly. Pricing and availability yet to be revealed.
