Gigabyte kicks off summer with an overclocking competition hosted on HWBOT – the GIGABYTE Beat the Heat Overclocking Contest 2017. GIGABYTE tags along with overclocking authority HWBOT and turn the heat up this summer for the HWBOT community of enthusiast and expert overclockers. GIGABYTE put up a prize pool of over $2,500 US dollars of computer hardware and goodies for the top overclockers.
The GIGABYTE Beat the Heat Overclocking Contest will commence on the 1st of July until the end of the month, 31st of July, 2017. The overclocking competition will have four stages and processor frequency will be limited of up to 5.0GHz only. The CPU overclocking limit is to give fairness and give novice overclockers a competing chance with the experts. Each four stages will have a corresponding score point based on benchmark scores. Score points will be rallied across all stages to determine the top contestants. Only the top two overclockers will bring home some high-performance enthusiast-grade hardware for winning the competition. Aside from the winners, a lucky draw will also be conducted to giveaway prices available to all participants.
