Earlier this month, NVIDIA discretely rolled out the GeForce GTX 1050 with only 3GB VRAM with an odd 96-bit memory bus width which is lesser than the predecessor GTX 1050 2GB. However, the 3GB VRAM version of the GTX 1050 has the same CUDA Cores as the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. This new card targets the budget gamers aiming for smooth 1080p resolution gaming. Now, GIGABYTE is the first to add this new GeForce GTX 1050 variant to its line-up of Pascal architecture-based graphics cards.
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 OC 3G
The GIGABYTE version of the GeForce GTX 1050 with 3GB VRAM features a factory overclock from the 1518MHz boost clock of the reference design, ramped up to 1582MHz in OC Mode and 1556MHz in Gaming Mode. The card uses the GIGABYTE WINDFORCE 2X cooling system that uses two 80mm cooling fans with semi-passive 3D active functions for efficient heat dissipation and a silent operation.
While the GeForce GTX 1050 3GB isn’t VR-ready, it promises to deliver the performance PC gaming requires along with NVIDIA’s advanced technologies including NVIDIA GameWorks and the GeForce Experience that’s tailored to fit the needs of gamers today.
