Keen to persuade gaming enthusiasts to part with their hard-earned cash prior to the naturally busy Holiday season, NVIDIA today launched a new GTX 10-series bundle offer in the EMEA Region (Europe, Middle-Easy & Africa) which is sure to get tongues wagging and more than a few holdouts to dust their wallets off. In partnership with publishers Ubisoft they're offering a brand new blockbuster title for free; that title is, naturally, Watch_Dogs 2.
Set in a scarcely fictionalised San Francisco Bay Area, Watch_Dogs 2 is a tonally upbeat sequel to the original with all new cast of characters; still present however is the fast-paced action and hacking elements which were a hallmark of the first game. You play Marcus, a talented member of the Dedsec hacking fraternity who collectively seek to bring down ctOS 2.0 - an iteration of the primary antagonists in Watch_Dogs. As with the first game in the series there is a strong 'open-world' theme fairly typical to Ubisoft's core titles, which when coupled to central narrative elements lends to the choice of sticking to the main story or diversifying to strengthen your skills.
Watch_Dogs 2 is built with plenty of NVIDIA technology under the hood. HBAO+ and TXAA are by now well known techniques used to improve image quality, but the engine also incorporates HFTS & PCSS for more accurate soft shadows. Another highlight is NVIDIA Ansel, the proprietary super-screenshotting technology for absurdly high resolution screen capture that is currently also included in The Witcher 3, Mirror's Edge 2 and ARK: Survival Evolved. Even if you're not taking advantage of the bundle offer, Ansel with NVIDIA GPUs and selected games is well worth checking out.
The Watch_Dogs 2 offer is applicable on Desktop and Laptop models of the GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 GPUs sold through selected vendors in the UK, EU and South Africa. Black Friday week sales also mean that you may be able to pick up an additional bargain on these cards and really ratchet up the value on offer.
