GALAX announces the GALAX HOF (Hall Of Fame) Pro PCIe M2, one of the world’s first SSD supporting next-generation PCIe 4.0 technology. The GALAX HOF Pro PCIe M.2 SSD is the brand’s new flagship SSD that’s powered by the latest Phison PS5016-E16 controller, delivering blazing fast performance. The Phison E16 is an 8-channel controller supporting NVMe protocol, it’s built on the 28nm process and is the world’s first SSD controller supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 technology.
The GALAX HOF Pro PCIe M.2 SSD shows performance that is never before seen in consumer desktops with the third-generation AMD Ryzen processor and AMD X570 chipset which is the world’s first consumer PC platform to support PCIe 4.0 connectivity. Using the latest AMD platform, the GALAX HOF Pro PCIe M.2 SSD delivers speeds of up to 4800MB/s sequential read speed and up to 4000MB/s sequential write speed, outperforming the recently announced predecessor – the GALAX HOF PCIe M.2 SSD.
High-Performance Heatsink
The GALAX HOF Pro PCIe M.2 SSD sports the same heatsink design as the GALAX HOF PCIe M.2 SSD. GALAX HOF Pro PCIe M.2 uses a special white coloured PCB. The arrow-inspired silver heat-sink is built from high-quality aluminium using CNC process. It also comes with a copper pipe to enhance heat dissipation. This resulted in the GALAX HOF Pro PCIe M.2 able to sustain its speed without thermal throttling for at least two hours.

The GALAX HOF Pro PCIe M.2 also employs a number of technologies for data protection. These include LDPC, TCG OPAL, Pyrite, temperature monitoring, and other features for enhancing data security and life span.

Update: GALAX HOF PRO PCIe 4.0 solid-state drives are now available in China at the GALAXY Flagship Store at JD.com with the 1TB variant at ¥2999, approximately $340 USD, and the 2TB variant at ¥4999 which is approximately $725 USD.
