The motherboard is built to break world records with its extreme overclocking-oriented features including a 21-phase VRM and 10-layer PCB design – capable of pushing the 12th generation Intel Core processors to their utmost limits. The EVGA Z690 DARK KINGPIN only comes with two DDR5 DIMM slots with support for up to 64GB DDR5 memory at up to 6600MHz+(OC). The motherboard has PCIe 5.0 X16 slots and X4 M.2 slots and PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe slots. The motherboard also features dual Intel 2.5 GbE NICs.
Built For Extreme Overclocking
The EVGA Z690 DARK KINGPIN motherboard adopts the 90° rotated CPU socket and memory slots that have been the standard for the past previous generation EVGA DARK motherboards. Two active cooling fans are hidden beneath the rear I/O shield that blows are through the VRM heatsinks and into the critical areas near the CPU socket.Other overclocking-oriented features of the motherboard include a Probelt Header for connecting a multimeter or voltmeter or other monitoring devices. The EVGA Z690 DARK KINGPIN also features a Multi-Function POST indicator, onboard power and reset buttons, and PCIe disable switches for easier troubleshooting.
