Today, ENERMAX releases a statement regarding the REVOLUTION D.F. 2 and REVOLUTION D.F. X Series power supply units having noticed a seemingly higher RMA rate compared to other PSU products related to faulty fan bearing that would result to the fan’s failure.
ENERMAX did not mention if the affected PSUs would experience catastrophic failure as a result of the faulty fan. Nevertheless, ENERMAX is committed to addressing the problem and has launched a voluntary replacement program for the affected products. We have recently identified higher than normal RMA rates among our REVOLUTION D.F. 2 and REVOLUTION D.F. X series of power supplies. Following a thorough investigation, it appears that this issue may be related to a faulty fan bearing. The noise is caused by oil leakage from the fan bearing, which can occur over time with use.
While not all units are affected by this issue, as a precaution and as part of our commitment to product quality, we are initiating a voluntary product replacement program for owners of REVOLUTION D.F. 2 and REVOLUTION D.F. X series PSUs purchased in 2023. Replacement units will be equipped with industrial-grade dual ball bearings known for their durability and longevity.
ENERMAX will provide the pre-paid return shipping label for the PSU to be exchanged and cover the shipping costs for the replacement PSU. An advanced RMA process is also available for those who need a quicker replacement to minimize downtime. Importantly, the original warranty will remain unaffected.
