With dozens of well-established manufacturers and hundreds of models to choose from, finding the ideal keyboard can feel like sifting through dross for the flake of gold that's perfect for you. Today German peripheral specialist Endgame Gear are adding a brand new model to the stream, incorporating features that could make it a priceless treasure to add to your hoard and thus placing it in the same league as their other award-winning designs.

Endgame Gear are announcing the KB65HE Hall Effect Gaming Keyboard, their first gaming keyboard and one that's immediately available in the US and UK. It's packed with features that place it ahead of the game and exhibit a no-compromise approach to competitive gaming-oriented design.

The centrepiece technology is per-switch Hall Effect sensors which eliminate the traditional actuation point of mechanical switches, reducing long-term wear and improving durability. A primary aspect of this technology is variable actuation points, in this instance customisable between 0.1mm and 4mm, for not only the fastest response times but also a tailored response according to the game you're playing.

Twitch-oriented reflex gameplay? Utilise a short actuation distance. Slower-paced RPG? Switch to a less sensitive, more relaxed and longer actuation distance. The choice is yours, and it's almost infinitely variable.

More mechanical aspects of the KB65HE have not been overlooked. The lightweight (30g actuation, 50g bottom-out force) Gateron KS-37B switches and stabilisers of this compact 65% keyboard arrive pre-lubed and rated for 150m actuations. The casing is made from a single block of aluminium, CNC machined into a sleek bezel with rounded corners and a stylish black finish. Silicone dampeners reduce vibrations and noise in the chassis. Plus its switches are, of course, hotswappable.

Endgame Gear also incorporate what they're calling Rapid Trigger Technology, which guarantees lightning-fast response times and high precision. Firmware updates, where appropriate, are deployable through the optional software which also can configure key reassignments, macros and per-key lighting.
