Dell presents its smallest, lightest and most power-efficient entry-level thin client – the Dell Wyse 3040. It is Dell’s first entry-level Intel x86 quad-core thin client designed for light multitasking in virtual desktop environments that offers 30% more performance compared to the previous generation thin client. The Wyse 3040 thin client offers a cost-effective business solution that’s very easy to deploy and manage. It offers robust connectivity options and a choice of Wyse ThinOS or ThinLinux operating systems.
The new Dell Wyse 3040 thin client only weighs around 0.24 kgs and packs an Intel Atom X5 1.44Ghz quad-core processor that supports 2GB DDR3 memory and 8GB flash storage. It can be installed at the back of a monitor for better workspace management. The Dell Wyse 3040 thin client is compatible with all of the major virtualization software brokers and will also support VMware Blast Extreme remote protocol starting June 2017.
