Dell Launches New PCs and Monitors To Enhance Learning Process

Dell Technologies announces a new portfolio of education PCs and monitors designed to improve learning for K-12 students and educators worldwide. The newest line of products aim to help teachers improve teaching practices by introducing three new purpose-built laptops designed to withstand the rigors of the day-to-day classroom environment and two new Interactive Touch monitors. Dell would be showcasing some of the new products at the BETT 2017 exhibit at stand B330, ExCeL, London.

New Dell Notebooks


Dell Latitude 11 Convertible and Chromebook 11 Convertible (3189)



The Dell Latitude and Chromebook 11-inch 2-in-1 convertible laptops offers 360-degree flexibility with clamshell, tablet and tent modes. Corning® Concore Glass and Gorilla® Glass NBT™ are used to provide durability and scratch resistance to the touch-enabled display. The Dell Latitude 11 Convertible is available with 7th Gen Intel® Celeron™ and Pentium™ processors, while the Dell Chromebook 11 Convertible is available with 6th Gen Intel® Celeron™ processors. The Dell Latitude 11 Convertible is bundled with the Dell Productivity Active Pen (PN557W) so users can write notes and make diagrams with a natural pen-to-paper writing motion.

The Dell Latitude 11 Convertible and Chromebook 11 Convertible (3189) will be available beginning Feb. 7, 2017, on Dell.com in the U.S. The Latitude 11 Convertible will be priced starting at $579 and the Chromebook 11 Convertible will start at $349.

The Dell Latitude 11 and Chromebook 11 are reliable and affordable 11-inch notebooks featuring a new design that reduces the overall size for portability and mobility. They feature an ergonomically designed keyboard for natural, comfortable student use and all-day battery life. The fully sealed keyboards and click pads provide protection against spills and the “secure” keys are 50 percent more tamper resistant than in previous generation products.

The Dell Latitude 11 and Chromebook 11 also feature a 180-degree lay-flat, durable hinge to support collaboration, allowing students and educators to gather around a single device and view material together. The Dell Latitude 11 is available with 7th Gen Intel® Celeron™ and Pentium™ processors, while the Dell Chromebook 11 is available with 6th Gen Intel® Celeron™ processors.

The Dell Latitude 11 and Dell Chromebook 11 (3180) will be available beginning Feb. 7, 2017, on Dell.com in the U.S. The Latitude 11 will be priced starting at $349 and the Chromebook 11 will start at $219.

Dell Latitude 13 and Chromebook 13 (3380)

The Dell Latitude 13 and Chromebook 13 are 13-inch notebooks that offer a more powerful processing performance and faster memory for students to create and excel using the latest STEM applications. These notebooks offer an all-day battery life even with increased performance and reduced size. The Dell Latitude 13 is available with 6th and 7th Gen Intel® Celeron™, Pentium™, and up to Core i5 processors, while the Dell Chromebook 13 is available with 6th Gen Intel® Celeron™ or Core i3 processors.

The Latitude 13 and Dell Chromebook 13 (3380) will be available beginning Feb. 7, 2017, on Dell.com in the U.S. The Latitude 13 will be priced starting at $519 and the Chromebook 13 will start at $299.

New Dell Interactive Touch Monitors




To complete the new lineup of products for learning, Dell also releases the Dell C5518QT 55-inch Interactive Touch Monitor and the Dell C8618QT 86-inch 4K Interactive Touch Monitor following the introduction of Dell’s 70-inch Interactive Touch Monitor (Dell C7017T). The Dell 55 and 86 4K Interactive Touch Monitors offer a touch display for collaboration with up to 20 touch points making it ideal for multi-user learning. New InGlassTM touch technology allows for a natural writing experience with two included passive styluses as well as anti-glare and anti-smudge coating on the cover glass for easy viewing. Both the Dell C5518QT and Dell C8618QT have a unique design that can integrate a Dell OptiPlex Micro desktop within the back panel and without a separate power cord.

The Dell C5518QT and C8618QT monitors will be available beginning March 30, 2017 with an estimated pricing below $5,000 USD and $11,000 USD respectively for the two models.
