COUGAR introduces the APOLAR 120 ARGB 120mm cooling fan featuring a seamless tool-free connectivity mechanism similar to the trending daisy-chaining mechanism popularized by the LIAN LI UNI FAN SL fans launched back in 2020. COUGAR’s mechanism on the APOLAR 120 ARGB appears to be in the form of a locking clip that connects the frame of connecting fans. While there’s an ongoing patent infringement issue regarding the general “daisy-chaining” connectivity design among desktop cooling fans, COUGAR unfazed and describes their mechanism as “efficient quick release daisy-chaining”. Nevertheless, it appears that more brands are joining in the trend by developing their design and these products are expected to be seen at the upcoming CES 2024 convention.
