Cooler Master today launches its newest flagship Mini LED Monitors: Tempest GP27Q and Tempest GP27U, bringing flagship-level HDR performance at a competitive price point. Cooler Master is a relatively new player in the gaming monitor market. The new Tempest Series monitors would be the brand's first displays with mini LED technology.

Tempest GP27Q and Tempest GP27U

Experience a new level of superior HDR performance with our latest Mini LED Monitor series under the Tempest naming: GP27U and GP27Q. The Tempest GP27U monitor comes with a 27” 4K (UHD) resolution panel, 160Hz refresh rate, and a 0.5ms response time. The Tempest GP27Q monitor comes with a 27” 2K (WQHD) resolution panel, 165Hz refresh rate, and 0.5 ms response time as well.

For gaming and entertainment, both monitors have 576 local dimming zones for an outstanding level of local dimming performance for superior HDR visuals. With up to 1200 nits of peak brightness in HDR mode, the bright spots in visuals are truly bright, with darker areas remaining dark for levels of contrast previously not possible with traditional IPS panels. Combined with a Quantum Dot panel, the Tempest MiniLED series output a wide-color gamut, covering up to 99% of Adobe RGB and 98% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, making it the perfect companion for content creation, gaming, and more.

Pricing and Availability
The Cooler Master Tempest GP27U and Cooler Master Tempest GP27Q have an MSRP of $699 and $999 respectively. 4K variant GP27U is scheduled to hit shelves in October with the 2K variant GP27Q scheduled to be available one month later in November.
