COLORFUL Technology unveils its own DIY-APE concept motherboard and graphics card on its Bilibili channel. The presenter revealed a revised version iGame GeForce RTX 4070 Ultra W model with the connector hidden in the middle of the graphics card much like INNO3D’s solution. The new model is revealed to be the iGame GeForce RTX 4070 Ultra Z OC.

A leaked video on Bilibili revealed the model of the graphics card as the COLORFUL iGame GeForce RTX Ultra Z OC, confirmed to be using an 8-pin PCIe power connector, not the 16-pin 12VHPWR connector. The Ultra W OC and Ultra Z OC models both have a TDP of 200W despite using different power connectors. Both also have the same core clocks and OC-key clocks.

The presented iGame RTX 4070 Ultra Z graphics card has a removable portion on its back plate revealing the power connector. It appears to be using a standard 8-pin PCIe power connector. Nevertheless, the concept aims to route the power cable at the rear and hide it from plain sight on the visible side of the desktop chassis.

The motherboard appears to be the “DIY-APE” version of the CVN B760M FROZEN WIFI V20 motherboard. The motherboard has headers and connectors at the back while retaining the CPU socket, memory DIMM slots, M.2 slots, and X16 PCIe slots in the front.

COLORFUL Technology collaborated with Segotep for a compatible chassis and the Segotep GM850W-APE power supply that features a modular cable design located on the side similar to the CORSAIR RMx Shift ATX 3.0 PSUs.

Just like the AORUS Project Stealth and MSI Project Zero, the DIY-APE concept minimizes the cables on the visible side of the complete setup achieving a tidier and more aesthetic view of the components.

COLORFUL Technology is yet to launch any of these products, much like the concept products from other brands.
