If you're in the market for a new GPU and fancy a little bit of strategic gaming it might be to your interests to check out your PC component retailer of choice in the coming weeks. AMD are teaming up with Firaxis and 2K Games to bring you a pretty sweet deal: Sid Meier's Civilisation VI free, when purchased with AMD's flagship Polaris GPU as either a standalone purchase or as part of a system.

From November 15th through to January 15th 2017 those who buy an AMD Radeon RX 480 from participating retailers will qualify for a copy of Civilization VI (while stock last). Apart from the offer window and requirement that the card purchased have an MSRP of at least $190 the only niggle is identifying participating retailers, so check that yours qualifies before you buy!

Redemption must be performed within 2 months of purchase at AMDRewards.com, and the copy of the game will be in the form of a Steam Game Code.

AMD's Randeon RX 480 is their current mid-range powerhouse, and an excellent complement to a game like Civilization VI which doesn't demand premium priced graphics, but rewards GPUs with good performance characteristics. Civilization VI will also support DirectX 12 rendering in the future - developed with the aid of AMD - for a smoother and higher frame rate experience.
