BIOSTAR unveils the brand-new Z690A-SILVER motherboard for the 12th generation Intel Core processors. The BIOSTAR Z690A-SILVER provides a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot to support the latest PCIe Gen5-enabled graphics cards. The motherboard, however, supports DDR4 memory only – up to 128GB of DDR4 memory with its four DIMM slots. There are two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots and one PCIe 3.0 M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs with only the top-most PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot equipped with an aluminium heatsink. The motherboard comes with antennas only, and a Wi-Fi 6/6E module to be purchased separately. The motherboard’s rear I/O includes a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, HDMI 2.0 port, and 2.5GbE LAN port.

The BIOSTAR Z690A-SILVER motherboard features silver-coloured heatsinks. It supports RGB and ARGB devices using the BIOSTAR VIVID LED DJ software. One notable feature of this motherboard is the Debug LEDs that have one for the CPU, DRAM, VGA, and Boot storage. The motherboard also uses a 70A Dr.MOS power design.
