ASUS Republic of Gamers announces two overclocking competitions: The OC Showdown Formula Series 2016 and RealBench Challenge 2016. These two overlocking competitions are open to overclockers worldwide. Two competitions will be hosted at OC-esports.io.

OC Showdown Formula Series 2016
Round 1 has already started and will run until the September 26, 2016. Round 2 will start on October 28, 2016 until November 28, 2016. This competition's official partners include Thermal Grizzly, Seasonic, Open Benchtable, der8auer and HWBOT.

This competition is open for HWBOT's overclockers under the rookie, novice and enthusiast leagues to compete using ASUS ROG hardware. No extreme-cooling techniques or equipment are allowed on this competition, only air and water-based cooling equipment are allowed. Round 1 will have three stages of overclocking which includes the use of GPUPI for CPU - 1B, HWBOT x265 and XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility).

ROG RealBench Challenge I
The RealBench Challenge overclocking competition is a new series sponsored by ASUS ROG. It will have 4 different challenges which will start this September 2, 2016 until December 5, 2016. This competition is open to ASUS and ASUS ROG motherboard users. Cooling is limited to air and water-based cooling solutions wherein core temperatures must be a minimum of 30-degrees Celcius. The schedule of the four stages are as follows.

Challenge 1 - Sept 2 to Sept 12
Challenge 2 - Sept 10 to Oct 10
Challenge 3 - Oct 28 to Nov 7
Challenge 4 - Nov 25 to Dec 5

There will be prizes for every challenge. The top three overclockers with the most points throughout all the challenges will win next-gen ROG motherboards. Overall winner will also be awarded with a RealBench Challenge trophy.
