ASUS announces a security update for the ROG Armoury Crate App to counter an identified vulnerability. Users of the application are highly recommended to update to the latest version as soon as possible. Read released statement below.
Statement
ASUS has released a Software Update for Armoury Crate, a system management software. This update includes important security updates and ASUS strongly recommends that users update their Armoury Crate installation to the latest version. The latest Software Update can be accessed by opening Armoury Crate, then navigating to the “Settings” > “Update Center” tab, and selecting the “ASUS framework service v4.1.0.8” update.

The ROG Armoury Crate App is ASUS’ proprietary software for its gaming laptops, routers, peripherals, and ASUS motherboard-powered PCs. The application does real-time status monitoring, RGB lighting customization and synchronization via ASUS Aura Sync, driver updates and product registration, and it also functions as a software launcher.
