ASUS presents its first-ever gaming monitor under the TUF Gaming Alliance line of products – the TUF Gaming VG249Q Gaming Monitor. The TUF Gaming VG249Q will likely be marketed as an entry-level gaming monitor for gamers looking into upgrading their gaming visual experience with smoother gameplay with the help of higher refresh rates and anti-screen tearing and anti-stuttering technologies like FreeSync. The TUF Gaming VG249Q is a 23.8” full HD (1080p) gaming monitor with IPS panels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The gaming monitor will also be sporting the ASUS exclusive Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology with 1ms MPRT that further reduces motion blur and ghosting. The TUF Gaming VG249Q gaming monitor also sports Shadow Boost that brightens dark areas in the game without overexposing bright areas, a feature that helps gamers achieve better aim and accuracy with first-player shooter games. We expect the TUF Gaming VG249Q to be cheaper than the equivalent ROG Swift gaming monitor or equivalent NVIDIA G-SYNC version of the monitor.
