ASUS Republic of Gamers introduces the new ROG Strix G Series notebooks – affordable gaming-grade notebooks featuring the latest 9th generation Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics. The ROG Strix G Series currently comprises of the 15.6” Strix G (GL531) and 17.3” Strix G (GL731) notebooks which are powered by a 9th generation Intel Core i7-9750H 6-core processor and GeForce RTX 2070 graphics. The ROG Strix G Series features comfortable keyboard tuned for gaming, stronger Wi-Fi via ROG RangeBoost, and easy personalization with ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting. The new ASUS ROG Strix G Series notebooks are designed to be affordable without compromise in performance.
ROG Signature Design and Aesthetics
The distinctive ROG Strix SCAR III and Hero III personas are each available in 15-inch (G531) and 17-inch (G731) sizes to give the full classic ROG aesthetics. The ROG Strix G Series is inspired by a collaboration with the BMW Designworks Group to give a stealthy and eye-catching design. The ROG Strix G features a unique asymmetrical cut-out between the hinges to allow more airflow to breathe into the chassis. It also features RGB lighting via an optional light bar that wraps around the front and side of the notebook. The keyboard also comes with LED backlighting for better visibility at night.
Gaming Graphics and Display
The ROG Strix G Series notebooks are powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs to deliver the best gaming graphics performance. To deliver smooth gameplay, the ROG Strix G Series offers display options with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
ROG Intelligent Cooling
The ROG Strix G Series notebooks come with ROG Intelligent Cooling featuring 33% thinner 83-fan blade cooling fans, the densest n-Blade fans yet, to deliver high airflow with a lower profile. Carefully-placed vents in the CoolZone keyboard ensure enough airflow around the WASD keys to reduce surface temperatures by 2° Celsius compared to the previous generation. The smart software allows users to select between Silent Mode, Performance Mode, and Turbo Mode depending on the usage to deliver efficient cooling at all times.
