ASUS introduces the ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 dual-band WiFi Gaming Router, one of the world’s first routers to feature optimization for NVIDIA GeForce NOW. The ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 supports triple-level game acceleration that optimizes online gaming packets from your PC to the game server to deliver smoother and lag-free online gaming experiences. It also supports all ASUS AiMesh compatible routers to connect and create a powerful, seamless home WiFi ecosystem. Lastly, being a gaming router and all, the ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 features five distinct lighting zones with RGB LEDs supported by the ASUS Aura Sync.

The ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 gaming router’s dual band WiFi offers up to 750Mbps peak throughput on its 2.4GHz band and up to 2167Mbps on its 5GHz band. The gaming router is also capable of 4x4 configuration with its four powerful antennas which are dedicated to the 5GHz band traffic. It packs three external and detachable dual-band antennas for its 2.4GHz band. It also supports Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) to help avoid interfering with other systems.
Game Acceleration
The ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 features Adaptive QoS which optimizes traffic wherein it prioritizes gaming, streaming, or web surfing depending on the router’s setup and configuration. The ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 also recognizes ROG notebooks and desktops with GameFirst V software installed. The gaming router is also optimized for NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW recommended program.
