ASUS adds a new model of NVIDIA RTX 4070 on its website – the ASUS Turbo GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X featuring a slim blower-type cooler designed for environments with restricted airflow. This graphics card focuses more on its function to work on tight configurations thus leaving out RGB lighting and a backplate to keep the graphics card slim. The 8-pin PCIe power connector is located at the rear to allow easy cable management for multi-GPU setups. The ASUS Turbo GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X has a 2475MHz boost clock, the same as the NVIDIA RTX 4070 reference design.

The ASUS Turbo GeForce RTX 4070 12GB is designed from the ground up for systems with restricted airflow. With an emphasis on durability and longevity, the Turbo incorporates a host of subtle design optimizations that will improve airflow and increase reliability, even in cramped quarters.

The ASUS Turbo features a new shroud that is designed to look sharp while optimizing cooling on several fronts. Parts of the shroud surrounding the fan intake have been raised to create a buffer between other cards in multi-GPU setups and space-restricted chassis. This physical buffer is paired with an angled shroud surface that funnels cool air to a large 80mm fan to ensure Turing's thermals remain under control in any scenario.

The ASUS Turbo GeForce RTX 4070 12GB is the brand’s first NVIDIA RTX 40 Series Turbo model. ASUS has yet to announce the pricing and release date for this graphics card.
