AMD formally releases its newest mainstream platform CPU lineup, the second-generation AMD Ryzen processors which are already available for pre-orders, to be released on its full launch at April 19th. With that being said, AMD also releases the new AMD X470 chipset to go along with the new AMD Ryzen processors.
AMD X470 Chipset
The AMD X470 chipset supports the new Pinnacle Ridge processors which are the second-generation Ryzen processors. It also offers support for the first-generation Ryzen processors, Ryzen with Radeon Graphics APUs, and 7th generation A-Series/Athlon X4 Processor. The X470 chipset also supports higher DDR4 frequencies compared to the previous-generation X370 chipset.
