AMD today unveils its new line of graphics cards – the Radeon RX 500 series. The RX 500 series is a refined 2nd generation Polaris architecture that aims to cater the needs of gamers today. The Radeon RX 500 series will feature improved frame rates on modern games as well as improved VR performance along with compatibility with the latest technologies.

The Radeon RX 500 series graphics cards uses the latest generation FinFET 14nm processing technology and offers more aggressive tuning for higher overclocks and enhanced idle and multi-monitor efficiency giving the gamers a perfect balance between performance and power efficiency. Other improvements include optimization of DirectX 12 and Vulkan for gaming along with the new Radeon Chill cooling engine offering a more efficient thermal solution versus the previous generation. The RX 500 series also feature the Radeon ReLive streaming utility.

Radeon ReLive


Announced last December 2016, Radeon ReLive is AMD’s streaming utility wherein gamers can capture, customize and share recorded or live gameplay online to popular online streaming sites such as Twitch. Radeon ReLive offers support to up to 4K resolutions at 30 and 60 FPS. It also offers smooth recording on lower power systems and make streaming available to a larger number of users.



Radeon RX 580
The Radeon RX 580 graphics card packs 36 compute units with a base clock of 1257MHz and boost clock of 1340MHz. It has a total of 8GB of GDDR5 memory at 256-bit interface and is VR-ready. The Radeon RX 570 graphics card packs 32 compute units with a base clock of 1168MHz and boost clock of 1244MHz. Packs 4GB of GDDR5 memory at 256-bit interface. The RX 570 offers smooth 1080p gaming experience having performance 230% better versus the Radeon R7 370. The Radeon RX 570 graphics cards has an MSRP of £164.99 including VAT.

Radeon RX 560
The Radeon RX 560 packs 16 compute units with a base clock of 1175MHz and boost clock of 1275MHz. It packs 4GB of GDDR5 memory at 128-bit interface offering an efficient graphics processor for 1080p gaming. It offers performance 57% higher than the Radeon R7 360 and has a starting price of $99.

Radeon RX 550
The Radeon RX 550 is AMD’s entry-level graphics card with its 8 compute units with a boost clock of 1183MHz packed with 2GB of GDDR5 memory at 128-bit interface. The RX 550 offers performance 400% higher versus competing integrated graphics and doesn’t require an external power source. The RX 550 starts at £79.99 including VAT.
