Alphacool introduces the new Eisblock XPX clear and satin versions. It features the same Alphacool patented and developed ‘ramp technology’, an innovation that significantly boosts cooling performance of the water block which has been tested and proven with the standard Eisblock XPX water block. The technology makes it possible for water to flow evenly through all the fine 0.2mm cooling fins instead of flowing water in the middle section and just nearly standing at the edges. Along with the improved flow, the Eisblock XPX features a larger bottom surface area of 34mm x 32mm. This makes the waterblock ideal for processors with eight cores or more.
With the release of the two new versions, Alphacool is proud to claim to be the first liquid cooling hardware maker to create a waterblock using transparent nylon material instead of Plexiglas. Nylon is a more robust material and is more resistant to cracks. Given the demand for aesthetics today, Alphacool made the interior and exterior surface clear thus producing the Eisblock XPX Clear version. The Eisblock XPX Satin version on the other hand features a sandblasted surface that gives a unique illumination effect. Both the Clear and Satin versions have four 5mm LED holes on two opposite sides for lighting installation.
