Adobe announces the availability of Adobe Premiere Pro 22.2 featuring new features that will dramatically accelerate key editorial workflows. This includes Remix powered by Adobe Sensei AI that intelligently retimes songs to a specified duration. Adobe Premiere Pro 22.2 also features an updated Speech to Text for offline use, now generating accurate transcription up to 3x faster than the previous version. Adobe Premiere Pro 22.2 will also be featuring performance improvements in 10-bit 4:2:0 HDR HEVC H/W encoding on Windows with Intel and NVIDIA graphics.
Transcribe Videos 3x Faster with Speech to Text
Speech to Text on-device allows creators to work without an internet connection, leveraging the power of their CPU. On current hardware, transcriptions are 2x faster, and up to 3x faster on Intel Core i9 and Apple M1 systems.
Currently, Speech to Text in Premiere Pro supports 13 languages. The English language pack is included with the Premiere Pro installation. You can install other languages packs individually, as needed. Language packs are approximately 650MB.
Remix in Premiere Pro
Use Remix to intelligently retime songs so that your music matches your videos. Instead of painstaking razor cuts and crossfades, let Remix do the work for you, turning hours-long music editing chores into a task that can be done in seconds. For more information, see Remix audio in Premiere Pro.
Performance Improvements
Exports for 10-bit 4:2:0 HDR footage are now up to 10x faster on Windows systems with Intel or NVIDIA GPUs, thanks to new hardware encoding in Premiere Pro 22.2. Newly GPU-accelerated effects include Linear Wipe and Block Dissolve. GPU processing means faster performance for these effects, smoother playback during editing, and faster rendering and exports.Beta Features: Auto Tone
Auto Tone uses new technology to apply intelligent color corrections in the Lumetri Color panel.Auto Tone adjustments are reflected in the Lumetri sliders so that you can fine-tune the results or simply use Auto Tone to guide your colorwork as you become familiar with the Lumetri tools.
