Last month, G.SKILL teased its fastest dual-channel DDR4 memory kit sporting 5000MHz frequency natively using the standard passively-cooled heat spreaders. Today, ADATA teases its own DDR4-5000MHz offerings with RGB lighting – the XPG SPECTRIX D41 RGB DDR4-5000MHz memory kit. Like the G.SKILL memory (F4-4700C19-8GTZR), it was also capable of reaching blistering speeds without the need for extreme overclocking measures. ADATA claims to have achieved the milestone back in March. The XPG SPECTRIX D41 RGB memory is available in Red and Titanium colour variants.

Validation

The ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D41 RGB DDR4-5000MHz (AX4U460038G19-DR40) memory module was validated using an MSI Z370I GAMING CARBON AC motherboard paired with the Intel Core i7-8700K processor. The ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D41 RGB DDR4 with 5000MHz frequency features high-performance Samsung B-die ICs and supports XMP 2.0.



While ADATA didn’t say anything about the user, the XPG SPECTRIX D41 RGB DDR4-5000MHz memory was also validated by the same user that validated the G.SKILL DDR4-5000MHz memory that goes by the name “Kovan”. Also, the validation of both the ADATA and G.SKILL 5000MHz memories was submitted on the same day with only 20 minutes apart. This led us to believe that there’s a common denominator between the development of both DDR4-5000MHz 8GB-module kits from ADATA and G.SKILL. See validation links below:
